The main characters are schoolchildren Roma and Katya, who fall in love with each other. But their relationship is jeopardized by a long-standing conflict between their parents. The fact is that Katya’s mother was once in love with Roma’s father, but they could not be together. After many years, the wounds of the parents still have not healed, so their children will have to find a way to keep peace in the family and their love.
Interesting fact: this movie is based on the story “Roman and Yulka” by Galina Scherbakova. The writer based her work on William Shakespeare’s tragedy “Romeo and Juliet”.
Just Friends
Dilute the glass with a light comedy! In this movie, Ryan Reynolds plays chubby teenager Chris, who is in love with his best friend Jamie. The plot centers on seventeen-year-old Mia Hall, who has been playing the cello since childhood and loves classical music, despite the fact that her parents are rock musicians. She is in love with a boy named Adam. Unfortunately, together with her family the girl gets into a car accident: her parents are killed, and Mia herself falls into a coma. Now she faces a choice: to die and find peace with her parents or to find someone who will convince her that life is worth fighting for.

A Tale of First Love
The main characters – high school students Olya and Mitya – meet at a sports class and immediately fall in sympathy with each other. Suddenly Olya’s mother dies, the girl closes in on herself and stops going to school. Mitya’s family convinces her to move in with them. Mitya’s care and support return Olya’s interest in life and studies. However, gossip about the cohabitation of two students begins to spread in the school, classmates laugh at the couple, Olya and Mitya begin to quarrel often, and it becomes difficult for the lovers to understand their own feelings.
In my opinion, the movie shows very well the gradual development of feelings between the characters. Their mutual offenses, quarrels and reconciliations will remind you of yourself in school.
Dear John
High school girl Savannah and young soldier John get acquainted when he goes on a short vacation and comes to his father, who lives on the ocean shore. The young people fall in love and make a promise to each other: when John is discharged from the army and returns home, they will definitely get married, but until then they will communicate by letters. However, circumstances force John to stay in the army and break his vow, and their correspondence with Savannah slowly comes to naught.
I note that the love line in this movie is calm and gentle, and the plot is not particularly dynamic. “Dear John” leaves behind a feeling of loneliness and slight sadness – that’s the beauty of it. If you have a desire to think and suffer a little (just kidding!), then this recommendation is definitely for you.
Blame the stars
The main character, Hazel, is sick with cancer. Although the disease has temporarily receded, the girl feels no joy. She attends a support group, where one day she meets Augustus Waters and immediately falls in love with him. Augustus and Hazel begin to meet and gradually realize that the meaning of life can be found at the most unexpected moment.
After watching “Blame the Stars” I was left with a warm, tender impression. The whole movie I watched in one breath, and sometimes on a whimpering…
Bridge to Terabithia

And here comes the movie that I sobbed through the whole 8th grade “Three Meters Above Heaven” is a story about two high school students who belong to different worlds. Babi is a rich girl who grows up in a hothouse environment all her life, kind and innocent, but with a strong character. Hache is a daring young man, impulsive, reckless, who loves the feeling of risk and danger. Their chance meeting leads to a series of tragedies and the beginnings of their first great love.
In case you watch this movie and then don’t know how to move on, I warn you: there is a second part. It’s also a glass, but at least with the hope for a happy ending.
Swedish Love Story
This is a romantic drama about the touching first love of two teenagers, Anika and Per. Per works part-time at a garage as a mechanic’s assistant and rides a moped. Anika is a model student who is into fashion and is not at all interested in what her peers are talking about. Together, Anika and Per break all the rules, get into various mischief and bond while solving problems that arise along the way.
I started watching this movie because I’ve always loved the aesthetic of 70’s youth: leather jackets, motorcycles, and beautiful dreadful high schoolers doing crazy and sometimes stupid things. If you’re like that, be sure to put this movie on your watchlist!
